Apparently in Indonesia, local amateur (sex) videos are hot in demand. All of which are recorded using handphone and distributed in 3gp format. So what makes people go hunting for these amateur clips with very poor quality?

Well, most of us probably grow up watching mainstream pr0n (be it western or Japanese). So we’re probably be sick of them by now. It’s nice to see some localised indie contents for a change huh? We’re being realistic, so to say. Like, it’s least likely we’d be doing it with, say, a Japanese Idol lol.

Another interesting fact is that most of the videos are made for personal purposes only, the couples (maybe just the girls) didn’t intend to be pornstars. Just that the video got into the wrong hands and next thing you know it’s all over the country. Reminds me of the Nanyang Polytechnic scandal.

As for distribution - things spread fast in Indonesia. These videos are surprisingly easy to get. With poor internet connection, most of these clips aren’t distributed through the net, but through physical distribution. 3gp fits nicely in a handphone, bluetooth-ing among friends is the most obvious way. Handphone outlets also have these vids available for grabs, all you have to do is ask.
